This notice explains how personal data is processed on this website – in particular in connection with the newsletter sign-up.

2. Newsletter sign-up

When you sign up for our newsletter, we process the following data:

• your e-mail address,
• the interest/topic categories you selected (if provided),
• as proof of consent: time of sign-up, IP address and browser identifier (user agent).

Purpose: sending the newsletter with information, tips and offers.
Legal basis: your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Double opt-in: after signing up you will receive an e-mail containing a confirmation link. Only after your confirmation will you be added to the distribution list. This ensures that the sign-up really came from you.

Processing on our behalf: for sending the newsletter and managing subscribers we use a service provider (sending/newsletter platform) with whom a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place: Light House Traffic Inc.

Retention: your data is stored for as long as the newsletter subscription exists. After you unsubscribe, the data is deleted or blocked for the purpose of proving the former consent.

Withdrawal / unsubscribing: you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future – via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by sending a message to the controller named above. The lawfulness of processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.

When you access this website, technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, date/time of access, page requested, browser type) is processed as part of hosting/server operation. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
